What is the purpose of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club of Queensland?

The primary objectives of the club include encouraging the ownership, restoration and good keeping of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars whilst adopting and sponsoring the ideas and ideals of the late Sir F Henry Royce, the designer and builder of the first Royce car, along with those of the late Charles Rolls and the late W.O. Bentley.

The club also promotes the practical and social aspects of motoring within its membership; to further the motoring interests within its membership generally and where necessary or desirable to join with other persons or clubs or associations to this end; to encourage courtesy, good driving and safety on the roads of Australia; and to encourage interaction among its members and generally afford them usual privileges, advantages and accommodation of a club.

Do I need to own a Rolls-Royce or Bentley motor car to join the club?

Ownership of a Rolls-Royce or Bentley motor car is not a pre-requisite to join the club. Enthusiasm is all that is needed.

Associate Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in Rolls-Royce or Bentley vehicles with the club welcoming like minded individuals to join our very active and enthusiastic like-minded group.

Do I need to be a member to attend club events?

Non-members of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club of Australia (Queensland Branch) Inc. are most welcome to attend club events as a quest of a current member.

Club events are held every month with a favourite being Car Park Capers.

Can I hire member’s cars for special events?

The club sometimes receives enquiries from the public to access or hire club members’ cars for special events such as weddings, school formals, birthday treats etc.

Club member’s cars are registered for private use, not as commercial vehicles (such as limousines). Members generally are not licenced to operate commercial vehicles.  In addition, many of the cars over 30 years old are registered as Special Interest Vehicles and may only be used on published Club events or when being driven to or from a workshop for maintenance or repairs.

Accordingly, we regret that the club is unable to assist with any requests to access or hire members’ cars.
